Presence in Absence

Based on the concept of prism, questioning the duality between visibility and invisibility, guided by the idea that "it is not because we do not see something that it does not exist", white ended up imposing itself.

Her white series, entitled “Presence in Absence,” illustrates this reflection. She questions the idea that the invisible does not exist, affirming that emptiness represents a breathing space, a space of silence and an availability rich in potentialities, essential to human relationships.

In this series, white becomes an essential tool to highlight nuances, textures and forms that are often overlooked. Each work, made with various supports and mediums, explores different ways of working with white, thus nourishing the duality between visibility and invisibility and reinforcing the idea that white can make hidden elements visible.

These material and conceptual layers evoke that absence is not synonymous with non-existence, but enriches our perception. The void, at the heart of her approach, symbolizes a space of potentiality, reflecting the silences and shadows of our existence. By integrating the void, she establishes a contrast with the visible, highlighting the dualities of light and darkness. Each piece invites us to reflect on these tensions, awakening awareness of the multiple facets of human experience. By exploring the invisible in a world focused on the visible, she emphasizes that the void can carry a deep meaning and that our perception is often limited by what we see.
