Between Visible and Invisible: The Prismatic Art of Alina Schiau

Alina Schiau's exhibition "Prisms" offers a fascinating dive into the meanders of human perception, exploring the multiple facets of reality through a series of distinct chapters. Titled "Scales," "Tetris," "Epicenter," "Polaroid," and "Rubik's," these chapters act as so many prisms through which the artist manipulates forms, words, colors, and textures to illustrate how our individual perception shapes our understanding of the world around us.

Each chapter of the exhibition embodies a distinct prism, offering a unique perspective on reality and challenging traditional concepts of objectivity. "Scales" explores the notion of proportion and scale, while "Tetris" plays with geometric forms to create a dialogue between order and chaos. "Epicenter" delves into the depths of human emotion, while "Polaroid" captures the instantaneous and ephemeral. Finally, "Rubik's" offers a reflection on the complexity and interconnection of elements.

Through this exhibition, Alina Schiau invites us to question our preconceived perceptions and embrace the diversity of individual experiences. By manipulating different visual and conceptual elements, the artist creates a mise en abîme where each visitor is invited to explore the multiple dimensions of reality and contemplate the complexity of the human condition.
